The ‘Pro Chef of the Year’ accolade is an exclusive and exciting category that sets aside the usual industry voting. Instead, it’s a sizzling live cooking challenge slated for a showdown at the International Centre for Culinary Arts – ICCA Dubai on December 8, 2023. The crowning moment will unfold at the BBC Good Food Middle East Magazine Awards 2023 gala on January 25, 2024, at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai.

Calling all UAE-based culinary maestros in top-tier positions – Executive Chef, Head Chef, and Chef de Cuisine. It’s your time to shine! Whip up some kitchen magic, as you’re invited to throw your hat in the ring for this category. Nominate yourself, and our esteemed judges will handpick four outstanding chefs to compete head-to-head for the coveted title of ‘Pro Chef of the Year.’

The live cooking challenge on December 8, 2023, is set to be a thrilling mystery ingredient cook-off, sponsored by Bord Bia. Following the culinary magic in the kitchen, a blind tasting session awaits, presided over by a discerning panel of industry experts. The selected chefs will face a three-hour challenge, during which they must craft three delectable courses.
