Gulfood 2022

Gulfood 2022, set to take place from February 13 to 17 at Dubai World Trade Centre, will see women leaders driving the food sector policies, innovations, investments, green initiatives and the culinary industry take centre-stage.

The five-day exhibition will feature a creative agenda from pioneering women leaders, through a first-ever Women Leaders Programme.

February 13
Look forward to an opening keynote by H.E. Mariam Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, UAE from 12-12:15pm.

February 15
Hear innovative insights on how governments, NGOs, schools and startups in health and food deliveries can contribute to more healthy eating habits to improve public health and benefit the environment by choosing less energy-intense foods, from 3:15-4pm. The speakers include Jennifer Croes, Conservation Scientist Associate Director & Campaign Lead – Emirates Nature-WWF, Ozlem Erbas Soydaner, Founder & CEO – Sprout, Soniya Ashar, Founder – NutriCal and Nathalie Haddad, Founder – Right Bite & VP of Meal Plans, Kitopi.

February 16
A panel comprising Dr. Lina F Yousef, Founder – ReYous, Al Anoud Al Hashmi, Chief Executive Officer – The Futurist Company, Nadine Benchaffai, CEO – Abfab Foods, Katie Wachsberger, Co-founder – DANA, Sâadia Lakehal, President Founder – Global Women in AgTech Summit and Ghita Bahmad, Founder & CEO – The Food Engineer and moderated by Katie Wachsberger, Co-founder, Dana elaborates on new opportunities for women entrepreneurs in FoodTech & AgriTech. The conversation will take place from 4-4:30pm.

February 17
Catch some of the leading women investors in the region explore new trends, challenges and financing structures that empower diversity in innovation, from 12:25-1: 30pm. The panel will consist of Bina Khan, Strategic Advisor + Investor – Summit Venture Partners, Maha Abdulmajeed Al Fahim, Founder – High Water Ventures, Triska Hamid, Editorial Director – Wamda and will be moderated by Katie Wachsberger, Co-founder, Dana.

February 14 and 15: Live in action
Explore culinary creativity from Pastry Chef Christiane Trilck, Head of Faculty, Richemont Masterbaker School on February 14 from 3:15-3:45pm; and Chef Maria Gallegos, Chef de Cuisine, Hilton JBR on February 15 from 1-1:45pm.
