DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island has appointed Meltem Erbay as its new Director of Operations
Originally from Turkey, she brings a mix of business acumen and people-first leadership, shaped by her Executive MBA and years in top hotels across the GCC and Europe. Meltem has held key roles at Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail and Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, gaining experience in hotel pre-openings, F&B, wellness, and large-scale operations.
Along the way, she’s helped teams earn awards such as the Good Food Middle East Award for Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Qatar in 2024 and multiple Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice wins. Recognised as part of Hilton’s Shine leadership programme, she has a reputation for going beyond the expected to deliver meaningful guest experiences. At Marjan Island, she now steps into a role that will see her elevate the resort’s dining, lifestyle, and wellness offering while keeping service standards running seamlessly.
