Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has confirmed that the first resorts and attractions on Shura Island will open in the coming weeks
Phase one includes the debut of SLS, EDITION, and InterContinental hotels, alongside Shura Links, the Kingdom’s first island golf course. The soft launch marks a milestone in realising Vision 2030’s goals for economic diversification and positions Shura Island as a benchmark for regenerative tourism. Guests will arrive via the marina or the 3.3-kilometre Shura crossing, which features Saudi Arabia’s longest internal bridge, and enjoy access to turquoise lagoons, untouched beaches, and elevated hospitality.
Red Sea International Airport, within three hours of 250 million people and eight hours of 85% of the global population, is already handling domestic and international flights, including a forthcoming direct route from Qatar Airways. Designed by Foster + Partners under the ‘Coral Bloom’ concept, the resorts integrate with the natural environment and are powered entirely by renewable energy. Shura Links combines challenging golf design with sustainability, using innovative water management and eco-conscious practices.
Beyond tourism, RSG is creating 120,000 jobs, driving economic growth, and fostering a sustainable future across the region. Over the coming months, eight additional world-class resorts will open on Shura Island.
