Time Out Group has announced the appointment of Sandy Hayek to the role of co-CEO, Time Out Market (Lisbon, Dubai and North America)

Time Out Market, the food and cultural market rooted in editorial curation, has revealed Sandy Hayek as the Co-CEO, Time Out Market.

In this newly created role, Sandy will be instrumental in day-to-day operations at Time Out Market, with a focus on optimising operations, growing auxiliary revenue and overseeing vendor relations.

Sandy first joined Time Out Market Dubai in early 2021 as General Manager. She went on to not only play a critical role in its successful launch, but its continued business growth as well. She brings a wealth of experience and industry expertise to the position, with a career spanning over 18 years in hospitality across Scandinavia and the UAE.

Prior to joining Time Out Market, Sandy served as the F&B Operations Manager for Nakheel Group, launching Depachika Food Hall on Palm Jumeirah and the Food District at The Pointe. Prior to that, she held senior management positions within award-winning dining and retail concepts including La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie in Downtown Dubai and Galeries Lafayette, among others. Sandy holds an Associate Degree in Agriculture and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management.

Chris Ohlund, Time Out Group CEO, explained that Sandy’s expertise in food and beverage operations, coupled with her experience on the front line running a Time Out Market, made her the right choice for this new role overseeing operations of seven Time Out Markets around the world.

Sandy Hayek, Co-CEO Time Out Market stated that she is thrilled to be stepping into this role and looking forward to working closely with the teams in Lisbon, Dubai and across North America.
