Ajman’s Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is pioneering a collaboration with 4- and 5-star hotels to enhance the tourism landscape in the emirate, introducing the “Training Chefs of Hotel Establishments on Emirati Popular and Traditional Dishes” initiative to offer tourists an authentic taste of Emirati cuisine ahead of Ramadan in 2024.

This strategic partnership aims to not only reinforce Emirati identity but also to enrich the tourism experience for visitors, leveraging the expertise of Emirati chef Khuloud Ateg to ensure innovation and collaboration for Ajman’s tourism sector development. The interactive two-week courses, hosted at the Ajman Hotel, will focus on preparing traditional Emirati main dishes and desserts, providing participants with hands-on experience to apply their skills during Ramadan.

The initiative offers chefs an immersive learning experience with a carefully structured schedule, featuring Emirati Main Course sessions from February 5th to 7th, 2024, followed by practical assignments to solidify skills. Subsequently, the Emirati Pastry and Bakery Course, led by Chef Khuloud Ateg, will delve into the artistry of Emirati desserts and baked goods, culminating in assignments to showcase proficiency in pastry and bakery techniques, aligning with ADTD’s mission to offer unique and culturally rich experiences that position Ajman as a top destination for travellers seeking an authentic Emirati culinary journey.
