With close to 40 years of experience, Klaus brings a wealth of international expertise in luxury hotel operations, strategic asset growth, and complex mixed-use developments.
Having worked across the UK, USA, Germany, the Philippines, Thailand, the UAE, and the wider Asian subcontinent, Klaus has a truly global perspective. His background is expected to bolster UHM’s regional growth plans and strengthen operational delivery. Most recently, he served as CEO at Aldar Hotels & Hospitality, where he managed a 25-property portfolio, led the opening of three flagship resorts, and oversaw AED 1.6 billion in asset enhancements.
Klaus’s previous roles span prestigious hospitality brands such as Fairmont, Sofitel, Jumeirah, Shangri-La, Park Hyatt, and Nikko Hotels. He has been instrumental in launching standout properties like Madinat Jumeirah and The Meydan Hotel, showcasing both his operational acumen and flair for large-scale pre-openings. In addition to managing luxury resorts and integrated experiences, Klaus also directed sales and marketing efforts during his time in London and Germany—highlighting his comprehensive leadership capabilities.
