Jayasom has opened its flagship property, Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA, on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The wellness resort offers personalised programmes focused on stress management, energy, healthy weight management and physical wellbeing.
Guests can access more than 200 therapies and treatments across six areas: Traditional and Holistic Health, Physio Relief and Recovery, Strength & Mobility, Spa & Hydrotherapy, Aesthetic & Clinical, and Nutrition & Vitality.
The programme combines evidence-based practices with traditional wellness approaches from Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East and Asia. Treatments and experiences include sound therapy, Traditional Arab and Eastern practices, Watsu flotation, mineral pools and ICAROS immersive movement. Programmes are tailored to individual goals, from rest and recovery to improving fitness and mobility.
The resort is divided into two experiences: Jayana, an adults-only wellness retreat, and Jayela, a family-focused offering with dedicated spaces and activities for infants, children and teenagers. Both include nutrition, fitness, physiotherapy, relaxation, beauty and mindfulness programmes tailored to different needs and stages of life.
Jayasom’s signature programme, Essence of Jayasom, is available from opening and is guided by a dedicated Wellness Advisor, with programmes tailored to individual physical and emotional goals. Additional programmes include As a Family, focused on multi-generational wellbeing; As a Pair, centred on shared wellbeing; As a Woman, supporting hormonal health and vitality; As a Leader, designed around high-performance lifestyles, resilience and mental clarity; As a Feather, focused on detoxification; and As a Flow, focused on movement and physical vitality. Guests can choose their programme and length of stay, with itineraries tailored to their individual needs.
Nutrition is also a key part of the offering, with Wellness Advisors working with the kitchen to tailor meals to individual goals. The menu includes plant-based dishes, alongside fermentation and pickling programmes. Seasonal produce is supplied by the Farm Belt, while the Nakeha cooking studio hosts experiences including pickling and fermentation classes.
Karen Campbell, CEO of Jayasom, said: “Jayasom was born from a belief that wellness is a practice – grounded in presence, learning and the quiet courage to be still”. “At AMAALA, we provide the space and support to restore balance, breathe deeply and reconnect with wisdom – ancient and modern, personal and shared. Our commitment is to deliver wellness with integrity and compassion, empowering guests to carry forward habits that enrich their lives long after they return home”.
