Foodics has launched Table Talks, a community-led dinner series bringing together restaurant founders, operators and hospitality professionals for candid conversations on building and scaling restaurant businesses

The inaugural edition took place at Lila Molino in Alserkal Avenue on 18 June, featuring chef and entrepreneur Shaw Lash, founder of Lila Taqueria and Lila Molino.

The session focused on Shaw Lash’s journey from launching Lila Taqueria in 2023 to expanding into Lila Molino in 2024 and Tacos Caminos in 2025, growing into a three-brand, multi-location group. Foodics shared operational insights from across the group, which has processed more than 85,000 orders on its platform, highlighting how integrated systems and real-time data have supported growth and efficiency.

Lila Molino alone recorded a 98% year-on-year increase in orders between 2024 and 2025, with data also informing menu performance and customer behaviour, including high-demand items and menu items that saw demand rise by over 400% in a month.

“Table Talks was created to bring our community together and uncover the stories behind successful hospitality brands and the decisions that drive their growth. Shaw’s journey highlights that scaling a restaurant business, while it all starts with a great concept, requires operational discipline, consistency, and the ability to make informed decisions at every stage. By sharing these experiences openly, we hope to create meaningful conversations and practical learning opportunities for the wider industry,” says Belal Zahran, Chief Revenue Officer of Foodics.

“Through this initiative, we want to highlight the real mechanics of growth in hospitality, the decisions, the systems, and the numbers that sit behind the guest experience.” He adds.

The launch of Table Talks reflects Foodics’ focus on supporting the hospitality sector beyond technology through knowledge-sharing and industry collaboration. The series will continue as a recurring event, bringing together founders and operators every few months for open conversations on building and scaling restaurant businesses.
