The Dammam facility of Procter & Gamble welcomes H.E. Bandar Alkhurayef, the Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources, for a comprehensive plant tour aimed at showcasing its cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities and production of leading brands like Tide, Ariel, Fairy, Head & Shoulders, and Pantene.

Throughout the tour, the Minister explored P&G Saudi’s advancements in automation and the exceptional calibre of local talent employed at the Dammam facility. Acknowledging P&G as a pivotal hub for industry localisation, the Minister praised the company’s role in driving the country’s transformative journey and encouraged it to leverage various ministry initiatives to achieve growth objectives, enhance exports, and bolster Saudi competitiveness.

With a history tracing back to the 1960s, P&G’s enduring partnership with Saudi Arabia has led to the establishment of two cutting-edge manufacturing plants, generating over 1500 direct and indirect job opportunities. In alignment with its commitment to meeting regional consumer needs, P&G continues to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia.

The company’s facilities in the Kingdom serve as regional distribution centres, supplying products to more than 15 countries across the region. Additionally, numerous P&G suppliers in Saudi Arabia export raw materials to other P&G plants in the region, reinforcing the company’s commitment to local sourcing.

During the visit, P&G showcased its journey in the country and explored opportunities to increase the local supply of raw materials. The company remains steadfast in its dedication to delivering superior value to consumers and collaborating closely with local suppliers to achieve mutual success.
